Many of you know I love to build me some stuff. Going to Ikea numerous times, I became jealous of their useful kitchen drawers, so as a DIYer, I took some wood, some Dewalt tools and whammo! I built my own drawers and installed them. Sure it took a solid week, but damn, this kitchen is like a breath of fresh air now! Would you like to know how I did it? I’ll write up a post on that in the coming weeks. It was a doozy!
I’ll be honest, the reason I used only Dewalt nail guns (16 Gauge
Finish Nailer and
18-Gauge Brad Nailer) well as their drills, table saw, sander, and miter cutter is because a power tool owner friend of mine is obsessed with the Dewalt yellow. No joke. You won’t find another brand in his garage. Plus the quality is top notch. His obsession with quality and color bodes well for me!
For this younger and newer DIYer, I mainly stuck with less expensive brands like Ryobi or whatever was on clearance. However, after using Dewalt, I have to say, I am a convert! I’m currently building shoe racks to redo my closet. Pics and post to come, but I’ve also been looking forward to building cutting boards for Christmas gifts. Woops, surprise friends! For that, I’ve had my eye on a planer — a Dewalt planer. I’m going to plane some wood y’all. And this is why my life is non-stop fund. Let the shopping spree begin.
Have a lovely day!
