There’s something magical about Stop Motion. Honda teams up with hot animator PES to create some stop motion magic that captures Honda’s history. But it isn’t all about Honda, this video has taken on a life of its own, and has wowed me. So I want to share that with you all.
This is the project for Honda titled “Paper,” a two-minute commercial that is the work of dozens of illustrators, thousands of drawings, and months of painstaking handiwork to tell the history of the Japanese auto manufacturer. From Soichiro Honda’s first idea to add a radio generator to a bicycle (ultimately leading to the motorcycle) to the company’s foray into boats, cars, racecars, and planes, the video showcases the progression of Honda’s products through the years, giving viewers the ability to nerd out while enjoying PES’ unique aesthetic style. Don’t miss the “making of” video for more insight into the spot!
What do you think? Impressive?
