Land’s End: A New VR Game

October 2, 2015

ustwo, masters of interactive storytelling and the London-based company behind the groundbreaking touchscreen game Monument Valley, is making headlines yet again for its first experiment in virtual reality gaming, Land’s End.

LandsEnd_Sept16_01_9560x4000Created for Samsung GearVR and launching October 30th, the game urges users to figure out what happened to an ancient civilization simply by looking around left-behind relics. To move in the virtual world, players turn their heads to visually locate “look points,” moving themselves closer towards it.

LandsEnd_Sept16_02_9560x4000Unsurprisingly, given ustwo’s body of work, the game is also therapeutically beautiful, with landscapes inspired by remote parts of Iceland and Scotland.

Would you play it? Do VR games excite you?
