Ok so officially we are still in spring, however when temps reach 90 degrees, I say it is clearly summer. And I’m glad you’re here lady, because I have a lot of brightly colored clothes that would just look gauche if worn in the winter.
As you may remember from my Neon Skirt post, I enjoy me some bright colors. I especially enjoy them when they dress up a simple top, and that’s exactly what my summer uniform is. My ‘thing’ is to wear something super brightly colored, like these blood orange pants with a delicate top. These pants work because the cut is nice a drapey – and for summer, I tend to wear things that don’t cling to the crotch. No one needs to see a camel toe during the lazy days of sunshine. Also, linen is such a lovely fabric that moves. And speaking of movement, I paired it with a breezy, lacy, and sexy spaghetti strap tank that has a fun cut. This top has many delicate details, like embroidered flowers, gauzy patches and little pearly buttons that add a flair of feminine to such bright pants. Mixing a natural finish of linen with the femininity of this tank make my outfit work, IMHO. I hope you agree too!
I hope you start rocking your brights in this wonderful weather. XOXO
